What issues did you have before introducing the laser engraving machine?
Our company operates a studio where you can take self-portraits with small animals, dolls, and stuffed animals, and we use dollhouses and miniature sets for the photography sessions, making us the ‘first in Japan specialized in self-portraits for 'little families'.
Initially, we utilized a laser engraving machine with a small working area for our product manufacturing. However, in order to expand our market presence, we have come to desire a larger laser engraving machine capable of producing larger-sized items.
Additionally, the output of the laser engraving machine we had previously used was 30W, which resulted in longer processing times. Therefore, we were considering the introduction of a high-power laser engraving machine to improve efficiency.

What are the reasons and main considerations for introducing the laser machine?
Since the time when we were using a small laser engraving machine, we had been purchasing flame-resistant paper honeycomb from CN Mart, an online store for laser related products operated by COMNET. This led us to discover that COMNET also sells laser engraving machines.
The decisive factor in our consideration of introducing COMNET laser engraving machines was that we valued the support provided after installation. I felt it was a good company to be able to receive support and technical know-how regarding laser output over the phone.
Additionally, the smile of the sales representative who visited us was truly remarkable and added to our positive impression.
The rest space in the studio can also be used as a social space for off-line meetings.
What Results Follow Laser Machine Installation?
We introduced the Spirit LS (80W) medium-sized laser engraving machine from COMNET. Changing from a 30W to an 80W laser engraving machine significantly increased our processing speed. This increase in speed is particularly noticeable when cutting intricate shapes.
With the improved processing speed, we've experienced a reduction in product scorching, leading to higher product quality and a substantial decrease in product wastage. (Faster engraving speeds often result in shorter laser beam exposure to the material, which helps reduce scorching in many cases.)
With the larger working area, we can now efficiently arrange more parts in a single run, leading to an increase in production efficiency.

We use the laser engraving machine primarily to cut materials for doll furniture and accessories used in miniature photography sets, primarily made of wood. These miniature furniture and accessories are available for purchase as finished products or assembly kits in our online shop.
Our doll furniture original brand for miniature studios is called "URARA."
Miniature set furniture and accessories are also sold at the online shop.
What are your future prospects for the laser business?
By introducing a large-format laser engraving machine, we have expanded our capability to create larger photography studios than before. In the future, we also plan to create studios for dogs and cats, aiming to further expand our market size.
